were made by a woman in Kathmandu or Gorkha Nepal who has been rescued from trafficking. They often weave one red bead into the bracelet to signify the world-wide problem of human trafficking and to represent their unique story.
These bracelets….
were made by stringing many, many beads (and counting the pattern) on a single thread, then taking the tiniest crochet hook imaginable and creating the tube that becomes the bracelet. Each bracelet allows the artisan to earn a living while being able to remain in her home, care for her family, and rebuild her life.
These bracelets…fit almost everyone. To wear, gently roll it over your hand.
