Day 1 Sunday - July 20 - Arrival

Arrival in Antigua - Free rest of the day to exlore.

Day 2 - Monday July 21-Antigua

We will travel to deliver and set up a bunk bed to a needy family and visit orhanage Por Amor de Patricia. Free afternoon to visit Antigua (optional guided walking tour in English)

Welcome dinner (included)

Day 3, Tuesday July 22 - Antigua

Shop and delivery of food and medicines to free kitchen run by nuns and home for abandoned elderly. Free afternoon. Optional visit to coffee plantation or volcano climb

Day 4, Wednesday July 23 - Depart for Pana

We will travel to Panajachel with a long stop in a hilltop community to put finishing touches to vented stoves. Box lunch included

Free afternoon to shop for handcrafts

Day 5, Thursday July 24 - Panajachel

Morning at FundaMaya for ceremony to deliver sewing machines to the sewing course graduates.

Boat crossing to Santa Cruz

Lunch at Amigos de Santa Cruz culinary school ($20.00 is not included)

Optional 2 hours weaving or beading class ($25.00 is not included)

Book delivery for the children's library.

Day 6, Friday July 25 - Return to Antigua

Return to Antigua with a stop to visit the fascinating Mayan Iximshe Ruins. The ruins offer a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the Mayan civili-zation.

Farewell dinner

Day 7 Saturday, July 26 Return to USA
Departure for USA or consider these options we can organise for you.
Spend more time in Antigua

Overnight or day trip to Tikal

Volcano climb on foot or horseback.

The entire amount of the fees will be spent on logistics, food, lodging, local transportation, sewing machines and the other donations that we will make. Consequently, your fee is entirely tax deductible. Your airfare is also tax deductible if you do not add days of leisure to the trip, in which case it would be proportionate to percentage of time spent on the solidarity work.
