From Cheryl Robinson: Hello everyone,

I hope you will join me on this years’ mission trip as we continue to help both Maria's Daycare center/orphanage and Grant and Sharon's orphanage. AAI is honored to be able to help so many children in S. Africa. We always have SO much fun and being able to meet, play and help the children is inspiring. Please join us on this special trip. Everyone is welcome!

April 18-22 Mission Dates

Optional - April 16-17 Excursions on your own (I can help arrange; walking with the lions, Joburg tour,

Apartheid museum and Soweto)

Optional – April 22-23 Safari in Pilanesburg National Park (Highly recommended)

April 18 Thursday
7 am-9 Breakfast
9-9:30 Leave for Maria’s Mpumelelo Daycare center
10–12 Introduction from Maria
**Getting to know the children (babies and pre-school age)
**Tour of the complex, and help feed the children
12 – 1 Lite lunch (a bag lunch will be available from our guest house upon request $5-7)
1 – 5 Setting up and starting our projects (tour of Slum area)
5 Depart for the guest house
6-8 Dinner
Free time at lodge
April 19 Friday
7 – 9 Breakfast
9-9:30 leave for Maria’s daycare
10:00 Tour of slum area if no time on 18th (where many of the children from the Daycare live)
10:30-12 Finish Projects
12-1 Lite Lunch (upon request $5-7)
1 Depart for Maria’s Home (orphanage)
1 – 4 Painting or a Project at her home
4 – 5 Dinner party KFC their favorite
5-7 Games with the kids
8:30 Arrive back at Lodge
8:30-9 Light snack if needed

April 20 Saturday
7 – 9 Breakfast
9-9:30 Depart for Maria’s
Today's activities haven't been determined yet (but it will be a great day and will include finishing the project and doing an excursion with the kids.)
5-6 Depart for the guest house
7-9 Dinner at the guest house
April 21 Sunday
7 – 9 Breakfast
9-9:30 Leave for Sinethemba Hope House (Grant and Sharon MsGill orphanage)
10:00 Arrive
10 – 12 Introduction, tour of their home and start project (if needed). If no project then fun games with the kids.
12 – 1 light snack
2 -4:30 Finish project or more games and help prepare dinner
5-7 Dinner (it’s the beginning of Passover so we are invited to join a special meal with them)
7-8 Depart for the guest house
Free time at the guest house
April 22 Monday
7 -9 Breakfast
9-9:30 Leave for Grant and Sharon’s
9:30-1 Finish projects if needed
1 – 2 light snack
2 – 5 Party with the kids/excursion TBD (Ice skating) -Times for this day TBD depending on ice skating
5-6 Depart for the guest house
6 – 8 Dinner at the guest house
